Cancel - 'Speak Up' Cultures

Driving accountability and the truth or a way to punish without due process?
Cancel culture

Overview

Cancel culture is the removal or “cancelling”of support for individuals and their work due to an opinion or action, on their part, deemed objectionable by other parties… thereby “calling them out“.

For the most part, these call outs have been wholly warranted, and often overdue.  Speaking up and out is integral to free speech and being treated properly.

However, given easy access to social media, instances of disinformation and some malevolent actions, this is a powerful approach that can also create injustice and a new form of censorship.   How to find the balance ?

We work with a wide range of thoughtful and informed speakers – contact us for ideas, or review some of the suggested speaker options below.
