'Tis the season to be jolly...
On Tuesday, the London Chartwell team migrated from their offices to explore what the City had to offer for their Christmas outing.
The day began by taking the Emirates Airline cable car over the Thames from North Greenwich to the Royal Docks, offering a perspective of London’s cityscape which is less seen, and a couple of ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs’.
After a hearty pub lunch, we visited the Cutty Sark (one of the last British tea clippers to be built), before taking an impromptu boat ride along the Thames. A speedy water adventure ensued, whizzing past Greenwich Village, the Docklands, Tower Bridge, and St. Pauls, before ending up by the London Eye.
The day concluded with yet another pub feast, this time at the Anchor and Hope in Waterloo. I would highly recommend the pheasant pie!
