Kathryn Parsons wins the “Women of the Future” Award

Kathryn Parsons (4)Kathryn Parsons, tech entrepreneur and founder of Decoded, has been named a winner in the Technology & Digital category of the 2013 Women of the Future Awards.

Now in their eight year the awards recognise the achievements of successful young women in Britain today and work to create role models for the next generation of leading women in a number of fields.
Here’s what they have to say about Kathryn:

Kathryn Parsons founded Decoded in January 2011, with a vision to teach people “Code in a Day” and to pioneer a global zeitgeist around code education. She’s overseeing the international expansion of the business, including Decoded New York and Singapore, and the development of new products such as “Data in a Day.”

Tech entreprenure Kathryn Parsons among 35 high-achieving women

Management Today has published it’s annual list of 35 high-achieving women under 35, advising readers to “meet your next boss”.

The spread prominently features Kathryn Parsons, founder of digital education company Decoded. Also featured in the Sunday times, the list serves as a prominent guide to present talent across a number of fields.

Here’s what they said about Kathryn:

Kathryn Parsons is a tech evangelist who decries the lack of women in science and technology. “What I hear from the women who come and learn with us is, ‘I can’t do this — my brain doesn’t work this way.’ I have to ask who created this myth,” she said.

Kathryn co-founded Decoded, which claims it can teach anyone to write computer code in a day. She is one of two entrepreneurs on the cover of this year’s 35 Women Under35 edition of Management Today.
