Wu Chen's Biography
Mr. Wu Chen is the Managing Director of The Economist Global Business Review, the first Chinese-language news app launched by The Economist. Prior to that, he was the editor of CFO China magazine. In his journalism career, he has worked for BusinessWeek in Hong Kong, and Bloomberg News in Singapore.
Mr.Wu has a wide range of research interest, from digital transformation to business innovation. He publishes a regular column in The Economic Observer (经济观察报), an influential Chinese business weekly. He’s also a well-known book critic.
Mr. Wu has launched a bi-weekly in-depth dialogue series in 2021 with leading academics, entrepreneurs, management gurus and thought leaders. His guests included Kevin Kelly, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Chris Miller, Eric Johnson, Martin Reeves, Jeff Hawkins, and David Cote.
As an illustration of achievement in journalism, Mr. won IE University’s Asian Business Journalism Award for his column in The Economic Observer (2021). In the past four years, he has published three books, Beyond VUCA(《超越乌卡》)in 2022, Transformation Mindset(《转型思维》)in 2020, and Nexus of Business and Technology(《聚变》)in 2019, completing the trilogy on innovation and digital transformation.
In second half of 2022, Mr. Wu published two more books. Business Scenarios: Principles of the Future Business (《商业场景》), and Undercurrent: Agitation, Changes, and Trends (《潜流》).
