Vindi Banga's Biography

Vindi Banga is a global business leader with a unique understanding of building businesses in growth markets, especially India; innovating; sustainability; managing global brands; change management and building and inspiring teams.

Vindi spent 33 years at Unilever, including 5 years as CEO and Chairman of Hindustand Lever Ltd, one of India’s largest companies, where he was the youngest ever CEO. In February 2005, as part of a major reorganization of Unilever’s upper management, Banga was elevated to the Unilever Executive, as the global head of the Foods division.

In 2008, he was given additional responsibility for the Home and Personal Care Division, assuming the title of President, Foods and Home & Personal Care – effectively running all the categories across the globe. Vindi led the creation of a One Unilever Global Foods, Home and Personal Care Global Category organisation which is now responsible for innovation and marketing mix development for all Unilever brands.

He is now a senior partner at Clayton Dubilier & Rice, a private equity firm.
