Susan Eisenhower's Biography
Susan Eisenhower is CEO and Chairman of the Eisenhower Group, which provides strategic counsel on political, business and public affairs projects. For more than thirty years, the company has consulted for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies doing business in the emerging markets of Russia, Central Asia and China. Projects have also been undertaken in Europe and the United States.
Since 2004 Susan Eisenhower’s primary focus has been on the intersection of major global strategic developments in the context of US policy and politics. She writes and lectures extensively on this subject and consults with major corporations on geopolitical and domestic challenges faced by corporate strategic leaders. She has also been prominent in the leadership development arena, which prepares executives to handle doing business in a global marketplace.
In addition to her business career, Ms. Eisenhower is a distinguished thinker on geopolitics and international security, including energy. Susan has been a fellow at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government’s Institute of Politics, a distinguished fellow at the Nixon Center now the Center for National Interest, and was appointed to the National Academy of Sciences’ standing Committee on International Security and Arms Control, where she served for eight years. She is currently a member of the Advisory Board of the MIT’s Energy Initiative, and an emeritus director of the Nuclear Threat Initiative. She has also served on three blue ribbon commissions for the Department of Energy. She was a founding Director, President and later Chairman of the Eisenhower Institute.
