Peter Hinssen is one of Europe’s most renowned technology thinkers and radical innovators. He is a highly sought-after keynote speaker and serial entrepreneur devoted to helping businesses innovate and grow.

He is a founding partner at Nexxworks, which helps businesses predict what will happen next and identify suitable business opportunities. The organisation believes in arranging engaging experiences to learn from other people’s achievements and failures. As an entrepreneur, Peter has founded many successful businesses, such as the strategic digital consultancy, Across Group and Across Technology, the latter of which he is the chairman and CEO. He is the former founder of various other businesses that he went on to sell to multiple stakeholders. The software company, Porthus (formerly EurASP), was acquired by Descartes after a prosperous stock market listing, and the television and video streaming company, Streamcase, was acquired by Belgacom. His first company, e-COM, an intranet company founded in 1995, was acquired by his former employer Alcatel, where he’d worked as a research engineer for a brief period. He served at McKinsey & Company as an Entrepreneur in Residence during this time, focusing on digital and information technology strategy.

He is a visiting professor at several universities, colleges, and business schools such as London Business School, MIT Sloan School of Management, Vlerick Management School, TiasNimbas Business School, and Antwerp Management School.

Peter is a bestselling author of five books that delve into business and technology. He offers an examination into companies that continuously reinvent themselves in The Phoenix and The Unicorn (2020). The Day After Tomorrow (2017) raises the issue of endurance in the face of dramatic change. The Network Always Wins (2014) analyses why enterprises have no option but to become networks along with the rest of humanity, and The New Normal (2010) considers how companies should explore the digital world’s limitations. He is also a Forbes writer and LinkedIn Influencer who is a frequent contributor and columnist for international media.

Peter is passionate about helping people understand new technologies and their potential impact on society. He has presented international keynote addresses for some of the world’s leading corporations like Apple, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook, Accenture and Tedx.
