Nina Schick's Biography

Nina Schick is an author, cyber security expert and public speaker who has spoken at numerous events and is considered an authority in the field. Her work in the technology sector spans over a decade, during which time she worked in various roles, including senior positions at some of the world’s leading companies. Her experience and knowledge make her a sought-after expert on all things technology-related.

As one of the leading pioneers in cybersecurity, technology, geopolitics, and synthetic media, Nina has held several advisory roles for various companies. Since mid-2022, she has been an advisor for Synthesia, a leading web-based platform allowing users to produce videos using artificial intelligence avatars. She also joined the TruePic team in 2021 as an advisor; the digital company is a media authenticator enabling users to capture and certify media instantly. As a political advisor, Nina has worked for Dalia Research, collecting and analysing information from the consumer and publically accessible data. She also fulfilled another political advisory with the Alliance of Democracies Foundation, where she guided world leaders on how technological advancements, especially AI, are changing geopolitics.

Nina has held several senior positions, including Director of Rasmussen Global, Associate Director of Hanbury Strategy, Communications Director of Open Europe and Director of Tamang Ventures.

In 2020, Nina published her first book Deep Fakes, where she dissects the meaning of synthetic media, deep fake and the technology surrounding and supporting these concepts.

Nina Schick is a world-renowned cyber security specialist. She is a sought-after keynote speaker who has addressed audiences at TedX, CogX, and WebSummit, as well as advising global authorities such as Joe Biden and Anders Fogh Rasmussen. She also counsels private firms, government agencies, and non-governmental organisations on how to defend themselves against cybercrime.
