Maybrit Illner's Biography
Maybrit Illner is an award-winning current affairs journalist, presenter and moderator. Since 2010 she has co-hosted ZDF’s leading political and economic affairs program, heute journal.
In 1999 Maybrit became the presenter on the ZDF’s Berlin Mitte, and in 2007 the show’s name was changed to Maybrit Illner.
In addition to this she moderated the Morgenmagazin between 1992 and 1998 and also presented the news bulletin Frontal. In addition to these regular appearances, Maybrit has become a household name through presenting the television debates that accompanied the Bundestag elections in 2002, 2005 and 2009.
She was the ambassador of the German Red Cross to Iraq in 2003, and to Pakistan in 2004.
