Max Johnson's Biography
Max Johnson is a British financier and entrepreneur. Graduating in 2009 from Tsinghua University, Beijing with an MBA and the 1st British citizen to have done so, Max spent 3 years in China working as the Business Development Manager for the British metals trader Wogen Resources. He then spent 4 years at Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong as an Investment Banker working on a wide range of transactions across many industries (2013-2016).
Max was educated at Eton (1998-2003), has a B.A with Honours in Russian with Polish from Christ Church College, University of Oxford (2003-2007), an M.B.A from Tsinghua University in Beijing (2007-2009), and a Certificate in Management from MIT (2007-2009).
He speaks fluent Russian, Polish, French and Mandarin and is a keen practitioner of Taekwondo (Black belt) and tennis. He was once Vice Chair of the British Chamber of Commerce in China and is currently a Leading Light for the British Council China.
