Martina Fuchs's Biography

Martina Fuchs is an expert on International Finance and Chinese business culture, former CNNMoney Switzerland TV Anchor and Business journalist with over 10 years of experience. Presently, she is the China Global Television Network (CGTN) Business Reporter, and is the International Advisor for the Lang Lang International Music Foundation and the St. Gallen Symposium.

Martina has previously covered top global news events, such as the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Belt and Road Forum in Beijing (2017), the G20 Summit in Hangzhou (2016). She has also conducted numerous exclusive interviews during her career, including the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, Bank of England Governor Mark Carney, World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim, the Dalai Lama, Chinese star pianist Lang Lang, and Grammy Award Winner and Musician Will.I.Am.  

Her exceptional journalism skills and professional mannerism has led her to regularly speak at corporate events that cover topics such as International Finance, emerging markets, cultural communication and leadership. She has hosted some of the top global financial and business events, including the United Nations’ Launch of the Principles for Responsible Banking in NYC (2019), the Women Power Forum (2019) in Hong Kong, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) annual general meeting 2019 in Luxembourg, the CEO Summit 2018 of the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Zurich and the opening of the world’s largest bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) in Zurich. 

Martina holds a Master’s Degree in International Economic History from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, a Postgraduate Diploma in TV Journalism from the American University in Cairo, Egypt, and a Master of Science in Global Finance (MSGF) from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and the New York University (NYU) Stern Business School. She also speaks 9 languages, including: German, French, English, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Swahili.
