Martina Fuchs has been a financial journalist for over 10 years’ and has experience working in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. A former CNNMoney Switzerland TV Anchor based in Zurich, Martina worked as Senior Business Reporter for the Chinese state broadcaster CGTN (China Global Television Network, formerly CCTV NEWS) in Beijing. Prior to this, she was a TV Producer for Reuters Financial in London and a Reuters Economy Correspondent for the Gulf Arab region in Dubai.
Martina has covered top global news events, such as the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Belt and Road Forum in Beijing in 2017, the G20 Summit in Hangzhou in 2016, the St. Gallen Symposium, and has conducted dozens of exclusive interviews during her career, including with the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach, Bank of England Governor Mark Carney, Syngenta CEO Erik Fyrwald, World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim, Chinese star pianist Lang Lang, the Dalai Lama, or Grammy Award winner and musician Will.I.Am.
She has regularly speaks at corporate events covering topics such as: international finance, emerging markets, Chinese business culture, cultural communication and leadership. Thanks to her journalism skills, Martina is also an expert moderator and has moderated numerous events around the world including: the CEO Summit 2018 of the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Zurich, the China Europe Investment Summit 2018 in Andermatt, the opening of the world’s largest bank Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) in Zurich in the presence of Federal Councillor Uli Maurer and Swiss National Bank Chairman Thomas Jordan, and events at the UN General Assembly 2019.
