Mark Goyder's Biography
Mark Goyder is a broadcaster, writer and business visionary, with a proven 20 year track record of influencing change in business community. An award-winning public speaker with experience in manufacturing management, he leads the push for long-term sustainable business throughout the country and further afield. He challenges audiences to question their own business outlook and mentality – to look beyond the short-term and reach for a more sustainable future.
Mark is the founder of Tomorrow’s Company, a not-for-profit organisation championing long-term business sustainability. In 2007, he also initiated the Tomorrow’s Global Company Inquiry, enlisting the CEOs and Chairs of 11 global companies to discuss business futures. Co-chaired by Nandan Nilekani of Infosys Technologies, the inquiry team concluded that global companies need to put the future needs of society at the heart of their business strategy.
In recent years, Mark has led the development of numerous influential Tomorrow’s Company projects. Leaders from across the public-private sector divide use the tools which Tomorrow’s Company has created to re-examine business governance and improve outsourcing sustainability techniques.
As well as holding advisory roles within Camelot and Alliance Boots, Mark is currently a member of the UK Investor Stewardship Working Party and has been intrinsic in launching the influential 2020 Stewardship report. He has appeared on a variety of media platforms and publications such as BBC Radio 4; Newsnight, BBC Two; Sky News, Radio 5Live, The FT and Guardian.
