Mark Davy is the founder of Futurecity and a specialist speaker on the themes of city innovation and urban culture regeneration.
Futurecity is a multidisciplinary culture agency set up in 2007 (with London and Cambridge offices) as a response to an ongoing interest in culture-driven construction and innovation. The company invests money into restoring important cultural, historic and artistic landmarks in major cities all across the world and is responsible for over 100 innovative placemaking projects including projects for Canary Warf the City of London. Working with local museums, galleries, universities, policy think tanks and cultural associations, Davy and Futurecity are dedicated to creating a home for cultural branding and cultural economics in the modern world.
Mark Davy and Futurecity have recently been appointed to curate major projects such as the Eden Project in Cornwall or the ‘illuminated river project’ for which they will be working alongside artist Leo Villareal to illuminate all 16 bridges of the British capital.
Mark Davy is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, the Academy of Urbanism and a Research Fellow at the University of the Arts London.
