Lisa Oake's Biography
Lisa Oake is a professional conference moderator and independent journalist. With over sixteen years of experience covering global economics, business and politics, she has led panel discussions for some of the biggest companies in the world. She was the first journalist to report live from the trading floor of the Singapore Exchange.
Lisa is a former co-anchor of CNBC Asia’s top-rated flagship morning TV program, Squawk Box. Her experience conducting live interviews translates into lively and thought-provoking panel conversations. She is known for asking tough questions, expose conference attendees to fresh perspectives and new ideas.
Lisa has interviewed numerous CEOs, central bank governors and heads of state including Indonesia’s Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Thailand’s Abhisit Vejjajiva, New Zealand’s Helen Clarke and Canada’s Kim Campbell. She has moderated conferences on everything from the global economy and finance to talent wars and women’s issues.
Following her time at CNBC, Lisa founded and remains the Director of Oake Media – a boutique coaching firm which teaches media spokespersons how to deliver compelling television interviews. She has also been an Executive Coach and Counsellor since 2020.
