Junheng Li's Biography
Mrs. Junheng Li is the founder and CEO of JL Warren Capital LLC, a privately owned investment research firm with a focus on global consumer and technology companies with meaningful exposure to China. Since its inception in 2012, JL Warren has become the go-to research and data provider for global institutional investors seeking independent analysis of multinationals in China.
Under Ms. Li’s leadership, the firm developed an impressive clientele including Capital Group, Point72, Marshall Waze, Vikings, Man Group, Pershing Square, Millennium, and Greenlight with its unique coverage on multinationals such as Tesla, Apple, Nike, LVMH, Kering Group, Moncler, and L’oreal Group.
Prior to founding the firm, Ms. Li was a senior equity analyst at Aurarian Capital Management, a long and short hedge fund in New York seeded by SAC Capital Management. Previously, Ms. Li was an investment analyst at Franklin Templeton Fiduciary. Ms. Li started her career on Wall Street as an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse in 2000. Ms. Li received an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics from Middlebury College (summa cum laude).
Ms. Li is the author of a business memoir “Tiger Woman on Wall Street – Winning Business Strategies from Shanghai to New York and Back”(McGraw-Hill, 2013) and a contributor to Bloomberg View. Ms Li’s has appeared on all major financial media including WSJ, Bloomberg, Forbes, and Caixin, among others. She has also appeared on television and radio programs including CNBC, Bloomberg, CCTV, and NPR. Ms. Li has guest lectured at Columbia Business School, London School of Economics, Middlebury College, the CFA Society of Atlanta, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and Beijing.
