James Watt CVO's Biography
James Watt CVO previously served as Former British Ambassador to Lebanon (2003-06), Jordan (2006-11) and Egypt (2011-14). He was also Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan (1996-98) covering also Afghanistan. His experience of Middle Eastern affairs has rewarded him with an exceptional and comprehensive understanding of current issues.
His extensive experience has allowed him to continue advising and writing on the Middle East, covering topics such as security, political development, economic and social changes and refugee policy. He also discusses humanitarian assistance and continues to lecture on these topics.
Now based in London, James is a partner in the political risk consultancy, The Ambassador Partnership LLP. It is an international corporate diplomacy consulting group that draws upon the networks, experiences and insight of former Ambassadors, like James himself, to understand global government policy and businesses. They offer advice and practical technique to both the public and private sector clientele.
