Guy Salter's Biography
Guy Salter got his grounding in retailing and brand development at the Arcadia Group, where he worked in most of the Group’s retail businesses, including Top Shop & Harvey Nichols. From there he went to work for HRH The Prince of Wales as Assistant Private Secretary for Industry and Commerce. While there, he formed the Duchy Originals brand and started the Prince of Wales Business Leaders’ Forum.
His entry into the luxury industry came with his appointment as Managing Director of Laurent-Perrier. Subsequently he became managing director of the Asprey & Garrard Group, where he oversaw a significant restructuring and repositioning of the company.
Guy is now Deputy Chairman of Walpole, the British luxury goods organisation formed in 1992 by top tier British companies, including British Airways, Coutts & Co, the Financial Times and The Savoy Group. Walpole provides thought leadership for the luxury industry and collectively promotes British excellence.
