Gregory Robinson's Biography
Gregory L. Robinson is a space expert and former Deputy Chief Engineer at NASA (2005-2013) and Director for the James Webb Space Telescope Program in the NASA Science Mission Directorate (SMD).
Previously, Gregory was the Deputy Associate Administrator for Programs, responsible for assessing NASA programs as the projects and institutions for technical and cost effectiveness, quality, and performance. He also served as Deputy Center Director at NASA’s John H. Glenn Research Center (GRC), where he was responsible for planning, organising, and controlling the effective accomplishment of all missions assigned to the Center.
Before his time at NASA Headquarters, Gregory spent 11 years in a range of leadership positions at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.
Throughout his impressive career, Gregory has has received numerous awards, including the Presidential Rank Distinguished Executive and NASA Meritorious Senior Professionals and Executives Award. He was also the recipient of TIME 100 Impact Awards in 2022.
