General Sir Peter Wall's Biography
Peter Wall has completed a full career in the British Army, retiring as its Chief in 2015. He is co-founder and CEO of Amicus, a leadership consultancy, specialising in imparting military command experience to the corporate world, with emphasis on strategic planning and execution, development of senior leaders, trust, reputation, and resilience.
He has extensive experience of dealing with British and foreign governments at the highest levels, and a proven track record in the strategic leadership of large and complex organisations. He is a recognised speaker on geopolitics and military command techniques in business.
Peter is a Director of the General Dynamics Corporation and an adviser to Cyrus Investment Management. He is Chairman of the Policy Exchange, the UK’s leading policy think tank, and President of Combat Stress, the veterans mental health charity.
He has served all over the world, including operational command tours in Rhodesia, the Balkans, and Iraq. He has extensive experience of Whitehall, and working at the top of Government.He is an honorary fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and Selwyn College Cambridge, and a visiting professor at Exeter University.
