Gareth Chilcott Keynote Speaker

  • England and British Lions rugby star (1984-89)
  • Experienced after-dinner speaker
  • Engaged in charity work

Gareth Chilcott is a former Bath, England and British Lions prop-forward. Known in the game for his famous headband and trademark moustache, he was always considered one of rugby’s great characters. This reputation has made him a regular pundit on television and radio, and he has entertained audiences at many sporting and company dinners with his rugby anecdotes.

Gareth also engages in charity work. He is an active Honorary President of the rugby charity Wooden Spoon, which improves the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in Britain and Ireland. He is also an ambassador for SOS IRB Kit Aid. This organisation is a “green” rugby project that gives less advantaged children around the world a chance to play rugby by collecting and distributing unused/ unwanted recycled rugby kit from the UK and Ireland.
