Frank Meehan's Biography
Frank Meehan was selected as one of Wired’s top 100 people in tech in 2012, and is a former board director for Spotify, Summly, Siri, Affectiva, Bitcasa, Fixmo, Magisto and many other innovative start-ups.
He is currently the Founder and General Partner of Sparklabs Global, a global early stage fund, and a Partner at SparkLabs Korea, one of Asia’s premier accelerators. SparkLabs specialises in innovative data centric solutions in the “Internet of Things” domain, Educational, E-Commerce and Financial tech.
Frank specialises in guiding the digital transformation of major companies, how to develop and drive a successful start-up, what are the key trends of the future and how to scale a great product globally. He also has a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in Asia.
He was also the Founder of Kuato Studios, an innovative educational gaming company, developing creative and entertaining ways for kids to learn core skills of the future, such as their first product, an iOS game called Hakitzu which went top 10 in the Educational category on iOS stores in 25 countries. Frank is originally from Sydney, started work as a coder and troubleshooter for Ericsson in Sweden, and was deeply involved in the early development and implementation of 3G networks with Ericsson and Hutchison Whampoa.
