Dominic Frisby's Biography
Dominic Frisby is a Financial writer and comedian.
As a comedian, Dominic has been described as ‘viciously funny and inventive’ (The Guardian). He is resident MC at London’s oldest comedy venue, Downstairs at The King’s Head, and has performed many full-length shows – both straight stand-up and character comedy.
Dominic Frisby is also a highly acclaimed writer. His first book, Life After The State, (‘Extraordinary’, James Harding, director of BBC News; ‘Incredibly thought-provoking,’ Al Murray; ‘Brilliant,’ Steve Baker, MP) has nothing to do with comedy. It is a book of political and economic philosophy. Nor does my second book. Bitcoin – the Future of Money? (‘A great account. Read it!’ Sir Richard Branson), which tells the amazing story of bitcoin. Dominic also co-wrote and narrated the acclaimed documentary about the global financial crisis, The Four Horsemen – 3 million hits and counting. (‘Excellent writing and narration from DF’ Front Row), and writes a weekly investment column for Moneyweek about gold and finance, as well as occasional pieces for Virgin, Breitbart and the Independent.
Dominic currently co-hosts The Virgin Postcast and previously presented Sky Comedy Close-Up, a movie review show on Sky Comedy.
Dominic often speaks at conferences, on TV and after dinner, on matters financial and economic. He believes himself to be the only comedian in the whole world who also writes a financial column, giving him a unique edge. His after-dinner speech topics are often related to the worlds of finance, trading and investing, stock markets, economics, and mining.
