Danielle LaPorte's Biography
Danielle LaPorte is a best-selling Canadian author, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, and blogger. Her book, The Fire Starter Sessions (Harmony , 2014), is a best-seller, and focuses on finding your passion in life and work – inside the system and out. Danielle developed the book from her Fire Starter Sessions – an interactive experience for corporate, association, and college groups alike. It is an experience not to be missed.
Danielle started her career co-running The Body Shop Canada’s Department of Social Inventions. They refurbished Romanian orphanages, and ran recycling and rock-the-vote campaigns. She moved on, launching her own communications and business development agency, “promoting visionary people and projects,” including a Nobel and Pulitzer prize winners, celebrities, and other fascinating characters.
She then became the Executive Director of The Arlington Institute, a Washington-DC think tank, managing a team of brilliant analysts to create future scenarios for the likes of the Pentagon, IBM, and the State of the World Forum.
