Dan Cobley is an entrepreneur and investor in innovative tech startup businesses, focusing on financial services. He is the former Managing Director of Google in the UK and Ireland.
Dan Cobley currently leads the FinTech portfolio for Blenheim Chalcot, a long-established London venture builder. In this role, he has co-founded and now chairs three fast-growth fintech companies; SalaryFinance, BusinessFinanceCompared and ClearScore. Furthermore, he sits on the boards of Liberis, Modulr and Onfido. Beyond fintech, he is an investor and adviser to a number of companies including Brompton Bicycle, PersonalBoardroom, Qubit, and HiveLearning.
Prior to his role with Blenheim Chalcot, Dan Cobley spent over eight years at Google. For the last three of these years, he was the Managing Director of its UK & Ireland business – the biggest market for Google outside the US and the most advanced major country in terms of e-commerce and online advertising spending. Dan was promoted to the UK MD role after five years in Google marketing, first as Marketing Director of UK, Ireland and Benelux and then as VP Marketing, EMEA.
