Christian de Boissieu's Biography
Christian de Boissieu is a leading French Professor of Economics at the University of Sorbonne, Paris, where he is also the Director of the Master’s Degree in Banking and Finance.
He is a former consultant to the World Bank and to the European Commission, and was in charge of the TACIS program mission in Russia on domestic arrears, monetary policy and banking regulation. In 2007, he was appointed a member of the Attali Commission, in charge of proposing economic reforms and boosting economic growth in France. He was also a member of the advisory board of J.P. Morgan (France) and member of the Advisory Board of Ernst & Young (France).
Christian was economic adviser to the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry until 2011, and from 2003-12, he was Chairman of the French Council of Economic Analysis “Conseil d’Analyse Economique”, which advises the Prime Minister on economic and social issues.
Christian is the author of several books dealing, among others, with monetary issues, banking and financial techniques.
