His investigation exposed a kill list targeting innocent people and turned into a race against time to warn potential victims and uncover the truth when law enforcement failed to act. The podcast reached the top ten in the UK charts in Autumn 2025, cementing Carl as a compelling storyteller and fearless investigator.
Carl’s debut book, The Death of the Gods: The New Global Power Grab, won the 2019 Transmission Prize. It explores how digital technologies have disrupted traditional power structures, from politics and media to business and geopolitics. Carl has immersed himself in the digital revolution, visiting information warfare bases, meeting fake news merchants, and uncovering shadowy online markets.
