Arianna Huffington's Biography
Arianna Huffington is an influential award-winning journalist, and the president of the Huffington Post Media Group. A key figure in the current communications revolution, Arianna discusses the new media, politics, the economy and lessons she has learned on the road to success.
Arianna began her career in the early 1970s as an author, before transitioning to journalism in 1986, as a writer for National Review. In 2005, she launched the news website The Huffington Post. This news and blog site has quickly become one of the most widely-read, linked to, and frequently cited media brands on the Internet. It has won several prestigious awards, culminating in a Pulitzer Prize for national reporting in 2012. In 2008, The Observer named The Huffington Post the most powerful blog in the world.
Arianna too has been the recipient of numerous industry accolades, including Fast Company’s list of the 100 Most Creative People in Business, Financial Times’ 50 People Who Shaped the Decade, Newsweek’s Top Ten Thought-Leaders of the Decade, and Forbes’ Most Influential Women in Media.
