Andrew Wu's Biography
Andrew Wu is a leading authority on Asian consumer trends, the rise of luxury brands and their retail distribution in China.
He is the President of LVMH Group for Greater China, one the world’s largest luxury brand groups. In this capacity he oversees more than 60 brands in luxury’s most important market, including Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Givenchy. His astute evaluation of the increasing sophistication of Chinese consumers has played a key role in LVMH’s market leadership in the region to date.
Prior to this appointment, Andrew worked for Sony Music Entertainment Group as Asia Vice President from 2001 to 2005. He was also Managing Director of Shanghai Epic Music Entertainment, a Sony Music joint-venture with the Chinese government to improve intellectual property protection and commercial value of entertainment content.
Between 1993 and 2000, he was General Manager and Managing Director of Parfums Christian Dior operations in China for LVMH, successfully establishing the Dior cosmetics retail network and business across China. From 1985 to 1993, he worked for Maple Leaf Foods Inc, the largest Canadian agri-food company. Previously, he worked for Canada’s Ontario Government Ministry of Intergovernmental Affairs.
