Andrew Marino's Biography

Dr. Andrew Marino is a biographer, filmmaker and author of a political biography of the incumbent Indian prime minister, Narendra Modi.

Hailed as “the only foreigner known to have unfettered access to Mr Modi,” Andy’s biography draws together over a year of first-hand research and half-a-dozen exclusive meetings with the man, in the run up to his 2014 landslide election campaign.

Andy’s open- minded approach to interviewing Modi allowed him to build a complex picture and in-depth character study discussing his childhood, nomadic travel, political awakening and record of governance.

Andy’s other works include: “A Quite American: The Secret War of Varian Fry” (St Martins Press, 2000) the story of how an American journalist assisted thousands of anti-Nazi and Jewish refugees escape 1940s Germany, and a biography of Herschel Grynszpan entitled “Herschel: The Boy Who Started World War II” (Faber & Faber, 1997).
