Last night I had a fun and fascinating chat with Harper Reed, who until November 6th was responsible for delivering Barack Obama’s awesome online campaign and get-out-the-vote programme. As Chief Technology Officer at Obama’s campaign HQ in Chicago, Harper was the man who was responsible for engineering perhaps the most sophisticated political campaign of all time. Harper joined Obama from the private sector, and he is planning his next steps. He is also doing some speaking (he’s naturally brilliant and smart and sunny), on the lessons he learnt from his extraordinary year in Chicago to new technology innovation, and how technology continues to shape, transform and empower human behaviour.
