Remembering Stephen Hawking
World renowned physicist Professor Stephen Hawking has sadly died at the age of 76. Professor Hawking was the first to set out a theory of cosmology as a union of relativity and quantum mechanics. He also discovered that black holes leak energy and fade to nothing – a phenomenon that would later become known as Hawking radiation.
Chartwell had the pleasure of working on an event with Stephen back in 2016. The event, “The New Normal Era: Innovation & Insights,” took place at the Lotte Hotel Crystal Ballroom in Sogong-dong, Seoul. Stephen’s holographic image was broadcast from his home as he explored the future of science and technology.
Chartwell’s Managing Director, Raleigh Addington, has said ”I loved working with Professor Hawking to bring his ideas to audiences around the world. Throughout all his health challenges he kept a sense of humour which, for me, was his greatest achievement”
