rachel-botsmanTrust researcher and international expert, Rachel Botsman delivered an incredible talk on how trust is shifting human behaviours at TEDSummit 2016 in Banff, Canada.

Instead of only trusting large institutions to fulfil our needs, Rachel’s identified a ‘trust shift’ towards trusting strangers. Particularly, how people have turned to technology platforms like Uber and Airbnb where a new unexplored idea of trust is needed. It is this sea-change that has inspired Rachel’s latest talk, a new book in 2017 and she will soon be taking up a teaching position at Oxford University, UK.

This TED talk is a fascinating glimpse into a world we will all live in sooner than we think as Rachel predicts that the way we relate to strangers is undergoing a radical ‘trust shift’ that will revolutionise our society. Also, despite recent news stories that have harmed the reputation of new platforms like Uber, once people have decided to trust the idea, there’s no turning back the clock!

A simply brilliant talk and we’re very proud to be working with Rachel on her upcoming speaking arrangements. Please do get in touch if you’d like to discuss her availability, event ideas and speaking topics.
