The reporters who broke the 1MDB scandal have launched Project Brazen, a new media studio uncovering true stories and developing IP for TV series and podcasts.

Tom Wright and Bradley Hope co-authored Billion Dollar Whale about the fraud’s mastermind, Malaysian playboy Jho Low. The $6 billion scandal brought down a government. A series based on the book is in development with SK Global.

Tom is an investigative journalist and Pulitzer finalist. He is the co-author of New York Times bestseller ‘Billion Dollar Whale’, the true story of a Wharton University graduate who orchestrated one of the world’s largest ever financial heists—and used the proceeds to build a Hollywood empire.Tom was formerly the Asia Economics Editor at the Wall Street Journal and is based in Singapore. 

Bradley is the co-author of ‘Billion Dollar Whale’, named Best Book of 2018 by the Financial Times and Fortune. He is also the author of ‘Blood and Oil’, a narrative account of Mohammed bin Salman’s rise to power in Saudi Arabia, and ‘Last Days of the Pharaoh’, a chronicle of the final days and hours of the presidency of Hosni Mubarak. Bradley was formerly a reporter with the Wall Street Journal and is based in London.
