Professor Hans Rosling on Asia’s inexorable rise
We’re big fans of Hans Rosling, the Swedish Professor of International Health who uses amazing visuals to show how rapidly the world is changing; speaking in India, Hans argues that India and China are closer to overtaking the US than we think – but they must overcome chronic inequalities if they are to sustain their growth.
“What I’m really worried about is war. Will the former rich countries really accept a completely changed world economy, and a shift of power away from where it has been the last 50 to 100 to 150 years, back to Asia?” And will Asia be able to handle its new leadership role.
