Multi Paralympic champion Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson spoke to Chartwell about the difficulties, particularly in sport, of overcoming poor performance or injury. Baroness Grey-Thompson recognised the importance of having a strong team as well as focus, preparation and determination to achieve long term goals.

After a lifetime of self-help addiction, and what he perceived as under-achievement, Robert’s book focuses on the insecurities that can hinder progress in careers, especially the ‘fear of failure’, which Robert calls a ‘mass condition’ affecting many people who are unaware of it.

Sage advice indeed, but can any amount of preparation guarantee success in the most high-pressured of circumstances?
