At Chartwell we’re huge fans of Michael Sandel, simply one the finest teachers and speakers on ethics in the world today.

His books Justice (2009) and What Money Can’t Buy: The Moral Limits of Markets (2012, nominated for the FT and Goldman Sachs Business Book of the Year) argue passionately for a higher level of public discourse. For him, our politics has become hollowed out, concerned only with the preservation of basic rights and economic distribution. To achieve a more robust society, discussion of what virtues and practices society should honour and reward must be placed at the heart of civic debate.

Michael’s legendary Harvard course, Justice, is available for all, for free here. You can watch him at TED here.
