Mary Ann Sieghart thinks more women should  be in political reporting, and you can’t blame her – all major national newspapers have male political editors, most have all-male political reporting teams, and a mere 1 in 5 political reporters are female. It’s hard to conceive how this couldn’t impact massively on the issues that are covered and how they are reported, and the politicians who rise and fall up and down the greasy pole.
