Laurence Kemball Cook’s Pavegen at the Paris marathon
Green technology entrepreneur Laurence Kemball-Cook is also founder of Pavegen Systems, an innovative clean-technology company which converts kinetic energy from footsteps to renewable off-grid electricity. Exciting to hear about Laurence’s largest installation to date – 176 rubber panels at the Champs Elysee finish line of the Paris Marathon (7th April). 50,000 runners generated 4.7 kilowatt-hours of power, apparently enough to drive a Nissan Leaf 15 miles!
