Chartwell is delighted to introduce Randal Quarles.

Randal served as a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors until December 2021. He became the first board member to fill the role of vice chair for supervision after his successful nomination in 2017. He previously served in the treasury under both Bush administrations and as the US Executive Director of the IMF. Upon his departure from government, he was awarded the department’s highest honour – the Alexander Hamilton Medal – by Secretary Hank Paulson.

As high inflation continues to spook investors, Randal looks at the likely future actions of the Fed in combating those high rates. A highly regarded thinker across the political spectrum, Randal is often touted as a Treasury Secretary under any future Republican administration.
