Dominique Moisi, Co-Founder and Senior Advisor at the Institut Français des Relations
Internationales said yesterday at Chatham House that Francois Hollande will win the French Presidential Elections. The French people’s rejection of Sarkozy is not about rational objections with his policies. Rather, it is a gut reaction against his failure to behave as a respectable political figurehead who embodied the sanctity of the state.

John Peet, Europe Editor of The Economist, reprised his argument from the paper’s feature a short while ago that France was a country in denial when it came to the Eurozone crisis. Dominique Moisi charmingly – but firmly – disagreed!
