Emily Lindin, Founder of the UnSlut Project, to join panel discussion on masculinity online at SXSW
Emily Lindin is Founder of the UnSlut Project, an online community where survivors of sexual bullying and “slut” shaming can share their stories, and where girls who are currently suffering can find support and solidarity. Next week, Emily is to take part in a panel discussion on masculinity online at South by Southwest (SXSW), a set of film, interactive, and music festivals and conferences that take place early each year in Austin, Texas, USA.
As we increasingly spend more time in the digital sphere, it is critical that it develops as a place where we can listen to and learn from others. During the session titled “Feels X Gains: Emotions, Masculinity and Support,” Emily will join a panel of mental health experts, healthy relationship facilitators and gender theorists to discuss how men talk about (or don’t talk about) emotions online.
