I was in California last week and I grabbed a coffee with DJ Patil, high school drop out turned one of the smartest guys in California, former head of Analytics and Data at the LinkedIn Corporation and now Data Scientist in Residence at Greylock Partners, and an advisor to its portfolio companies on how to think about data. DJ’s generally too busy to speak but when he can he also shares his thoughts on data science and corporate strategy with senior business audiences, and talks to colleges and student groups about his own experiences of education and how to make the most of their student experience.
