Celebrating 150 Years of Sir Winston Churchill's Legacy
This year marks the 150th anniversary of Sir Winston Churchill’s birth—a leader whose legacy continues to resonate throughout the world.
Chartwell Speakers takes it’s name from Chartwell in Kent, which was the family home of Winston Churchill. Proud of our historical origins, it feels only right that we commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Sir Winston Churchill and celebrate the genesis of the ‘special relationship’ between Britain and the United States.
Chartwell: The Heart of Churchill
Chartwell was more than just a home to Churchill; it was his sanctuary and source of inspiration. Within these walls, he penned influential speeches, painted captivating landscapes, and contemplated the challenges of his time. Chartwell remains a symbol of his indomitable spirit and the values he upholds.
The Special Relationship: UK and US Bonds
Churchill was instrumental in fostering the special relationship between the United Kingdom and the United States—a partnership that has shaped international relations for decades. His vision of unity and mutual support is as relevant today as ever, reminding us of the strength found in collaboration.
As we mark this milestone, we invite you to reflect on his enduring impact. In light of this, our chairman, James Birch, hosted a symposium earlier this month on the subject of the “Special Relationship: Past and Present”.
