Bob Geldof spoke passionately at The Times CEO Africa Summit yesterday, calling for ‘enlightened investment’ in the the continent. Geldof addressed senior figures from the worlds of business, finance and politics who gathered to  discuss tapping into Africa’s emerging middle classes. Claiming “the first mistake is to call it the ‘dark continent'” he suggested that Europeans often think of Africa as a whole rather than 54 individual countries with unique ethnicities.
