James spent 21 years at Goldman Sachs working in London, New York, Mumbai and Hong Kong. In addition to being a Managing Director in the Equities division, he organised a number of Goldman Sachs’s highest profile conferences.
James is the chairman of Chartwell Speakers and also currently serving as President of the Historic Houses Association which is responsible for preserving and promoting over 1,600 historic houses (including Doddington Hall his own family home), castles and gardens across the United Kingdom.
James is also the treasurer of the The European Association of Speaker Bureaux (EASB).
