We’re so excited to be representing Lucy Hawking

Chartwell is delighted that the best selling science author and writer Lucy Hawking has joined our roster of exclusive speakers.

Lucy is a terrific story-teller who loves explaining complex science to non-science audiences. She has spoken around the world – in 2015 she keynoted at the Sydney Opera House alongside a hologram of her father, the theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking.

Lucy also has a strong diversity narrative, drawing in part on her experiences as a carer for her father and autistic son. She argues that incorporating perspectives from the margins – be they those of a woman in a male-dominated environment like science, or that of a disabled person interacting with able bodied colleagues – can greatly enhance the creativity and productivity of teams in all walks of life.
