“The End of Ownership”: Lisa Gansky talks value in Boston Magazine

Tech Entrepreneur and author of ‘The Mesh: Why the Future of Business is Sharing’ Lisa Gansky is featured in Boston Magazine’s article ‘The End of Ownership’. The article analyses America’s “dramatic cultural shift” that has resulted from a collapsed economy and a warming planet, meaning that now people are more interested in access than ownership.

Lisa is quoted on her thoughts on how we see, and sell, our value in life: “So for many of us, we looked around our homes, or our factories, or our offices, and we realized that a lot of things that we collected or we owned, we didn’t necessarily use well, or appreciate, or get value from.” The sharing economy that Lisa advocates aims to be an enlightened network of like-minded individuals who share values.

Mesh2013 event in San Francisco

Lisa Gansky, author of ‘The Mesh: Why the Future of Business is Sharing’, and the instigator behind the Mesh Directory (www.meshing.it) recently held a three day event in San Francisco (23rd – 25th April).

Mesh2013, described as “a global gathering and cultural immersion in the sharing economy ecosystem and community” brought together instigators (including entrepreneurs, planners, engineers) and the doers (including product and service builders and communities).

Mesh2013’s aim was for those involved “to rethink and re-emerge, together” and to educate, inspire and celebrate a sharing economy ecosystem and community.
