Taking advantage of the briefest of summer lulls, we took a few minutes out to interview our Head of Client Servicing and Partner, Stefanie Carter. Stefanie works round the clock to ensure the logistics are in place and that the speaker is thoroughly briefed and prepared. She kindly took the time to answer a few questions:
Describe your role at Chartwell
I am the logistics co-ordinator and my role means taking care of all post-sale requirements for speaker and client to ensure the delivery of a successful event. One of the most important parts of my job is ensuring speakers arrive at events fully briefed and raring to go!
How long have you been working at Chartwell?
Just over 2 years.
What were you doing before you joined?
I was a self employed virtual assistant (Personal Assistant that works ‘virtually’) in a very similar role to what I am doing now, but for various companies around the UK and the USA on a freelance basis.
What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever been asked to do?
Luckily I haven’t really come across many strange requests in my time at Chartwell. I once had to facilitate a conference call at 1.00am in the morning due to the time difference of speaker and client! Apart from that, an ex-prime minister of France once called me direct on my landline to help sort out his car. It’s not the kind of call I normally expect to receive at home!
If I won the lottery …
I would buy a house with a large garden and own at least 2 Siberian Huskies.
What quality do you value most in others?
Kindness, honesty, being a ‘genuine’ down to earth person.
