The End of White Politics Keynote Description:
In the entire history of the United States of America, we've never elected a woman as our president. And we've only had one president who was not a white man.
I wrote this sentence in my book The End of White Politics back in 2020. Fast forward to 2023, this sentence is still true! Vice President Kamala Harris represents a bridge to the future as vice president and so many other new young leaders represent the future my book predicted America is evolving into.
Since 2020's historic election, the country has only become even more divided as Republicans attempt to stave off the impact of the coming demographic shifts discussed in the book. The country has faced repeated threats against our democratic institutions and for the first time ever there was not a peaceful transfer of power to Joe Biden. All of this is a response to this rapidly approaching New America where white voters are a minority for the first time.
A discussion about how these demographic shifts will impact the present and future of American politics is more relevant than ever.
