Mishal Husain is a prominent British news presenter and current affairs host, currently presenter for BBC News at Ten, BBC World News and the flagship current affairs program Impact.
A veteran news reporter, Mishal has traveled extensively to cover stories of global significance from the Shanghai Expo to the British Royal wedding, and notably the death of Osama Bin Laden and assassination of Benazir Bhutto. Mishal was also one of the key anchors for the BBC coverage of the London Olympic games (2012).
Mishal also presented her three-part documentary series exploring the live of Gandhi (2009) and went on to present the critically acclaimed documentary How Facebook Changed the World: The Arab Spring (2011).
In 2009 she chaired the judging panel for the Orange Prize for New Writers, and was named by the Times as one of the five most influential Muslim women in Britain. She is also an ambassador for the charities Operation Smile and the British Asian Trust.
